Solar Energy System (SES)

We are transforming our rooftop areas into a source of sustainable energy. With a 2.5 MWp solar energy system to be installed on 16,000 m² of rooftop space, we aim to generate approximately 3.5 GWh of electricity annually. This investment allows us to meet a significant portion of our electricity needs from renewable sources while reducing our carbon footprint. Thanks to Türkiye’s high solar irradiation potential, the system offers strong environmental and economic benefits.

Corn Starch-Based Additives

To reduce the environmental impact of our production processes, we incorporate corn starch-based additives into our materials. These additives, when blended with biopolymers such as PLA (polylactic acid) and PBAT, enable packaging films and bags to become biodegradable in nature. Starch-enhanced materials can break down within 3 to 6 months under industrial composting conditions and are also easily recyclable within standard recycling systems.

Thanks to these innovations, we are able to both reduce our carbon footprint and develop eco-friendly alternatives. The additives we use not only reduce fossil-based plastic consumption but also offer a solution that safely degrades in nature without leaving toxic residues.

Sugarcane-Based Additives

The sugarcane-based raw materials we use in our products reflect a production approach that is both environmentally responsible and high-performance. Bioethanol derived from sugarcane replaces fossil-based ethylene in the production of bio-based polyethylene (Bio‑PE). Bio‑PE offers the same physical properties as conventional polyethylene, requires no modifications to existing production lines, and is 100% recyclable within current recycling systems.

In addition, additives derived from sugarcane fibers (bagasse) are used in the production of biodegradable films and composites, offering nature-friendly alternatives. Through these innovations, we reduce our reliance on fossil resources while minimizing the carbon footprint of our manufacturing processes.

In-House Recycling System

At our facility, film scraps, bags, and packaging waste generated during production are processed through our in-house recycling line and converted back into granules. These granules are then reintegrated into the production cycle, helping minimize waste generation.

At Ayfleks, we design our production processes to minimize environmental impact. By developing both recyclable solutions (such as Bio-PE and LDPE/HDPE regranulated products) and biodegradable alternatives (based on corn starch and sugarcane-derived biopolymers), we actively contribute to the transformation toward sustainable materials.
